I'm really sorry! I didn't want to disturb anyone! I've done a search and I've spent hours trying to figure this problem out for myself but to no avail. Would someone please help me?
I have installed AU Mod. All seemed to go well except that:
- in the Admin Functions all I see is an asterisk instead of the words "Config Active Users", see sample image
- when I click on this asterisk the config table shows up but with asterisks instead of words, see sample image
- front page of forum also shows asterisks in the active users section, see sample image
- if I include the Mod Lang file <!--#include file="langMODS_Ls3kAU4.asp"--> into config.asp as per instructions I get the following error:
Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a03ea'
Syntax error
/forum/inc_language.asp, line 22 - line 22 in the inc_language.asp file reads:
if isEmptyNull(eval(s)) then
I'm positive it has to do with the language part in the bottom of config.asp and have tried changing all sorts of things but for the life of me can't make it work and I just stuff up more pages.
I have the 3.4.04 multilanguage italian version forum (by image), MS Access 2000 database and url is http://www.psoriasis-friends.it/forum/
This is my config.asp file if it's any helphttp://www.psoriasis-friends.it/config.txt and the inc_language file http://www.psoriasis-friends.it/inc_language.txt
I will really appreciate, so very much, any help!!

I think it would be better if you posted this over at Image's forum. You will get better response and help there, as he has modified the forum and the AU-mod extensively. |

It's quite alright masterao. :-) I'll just have to do without. If i end up sorting it out I will put the solution here in case someone else has the same problem in future. Thanks again. |

I hope someone can find a solution to this one as I have exactly the same problem!
Instead of the asterisk I just get a blank space, I'm also pretty sure it has something to do with that language file. |

buksida, are you also using Image's modded forum?
Your error sounds like you forgot to upload the language-files, or you missed to choose a language file in the pertinent file (depends upon which mod you are using). |

No just standard out of the box v3.4.04
This is the first MOD I've made to it, theres just a blank space where the extra link should be under "feature configuration" in Admin. When I go to the active users link it shows the box similar to loren57's with blanks in place of the asterisk. |

Not much to do with Image here, when Nathan (??) wrote the AU mod it was multi-lingual anyway, but it does sound like a lang file has been missed or the server's language is not set to what they think it should be maybe ? |

You are right that Nathan made it multi-lingual, but the files used with Image's forum aren't named the same as the ones that Nathan made. I haven't checked Image's code to see what other changes he has made, but the AU-lang files will not work with Image's without changes.
buksida, make sure that you have added the internationalization changes into config.asp (found at the end of the readme-file), and that you have uploaded all the AU-files and the changed files to your forum-folder. |

It works! Great stuff, yeah i put the <!--#include file="langMODS_Ls3kAU4.asp"--> before the %> instead of after.
I'm still learning ASP ... |
