Hi,

I just moved my forums to a new server but I'm getting a big black rectangular box above the forum and some of the posts in the threads are missing.

http://bahamaswrit.web109.discountasp.net/index/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=687

Why is this happening? Anyone know?

If you highlight the black box you get the error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Operation must use an updateable query.

/index/forum/topic.asp, line 503

This is a common error if you do a search. Do you have write permissions set on your database correctly?

Thanks a million! That worked!

I had to set the write permissions for the database! Thanks again!

You're welcome

I believe that is a problem with the email component you have chosen. What email components does your host support? Check your email server configuration in admin options to choose a suitable component, otherwise you may need to turn sending emails off [if your host does not support any].

Thanks. It's working now. I just turned the mail off and then back on again and maybe that did something but it's working now.

Thanks again for the help.
