I'm adminning two forums and I need smilies for both. I've found a few sites with smilies posted, but for some reason my computer has a problem downloading .gif files off web pages so I guess I need some sort of a downloadable smilie library. I found a few possible ones through web searching but they all looked like spyware/adware traps. Anyone got any suggestions? |

If your computer cannot download gifs in web pages, you probably have a far bigger problem on your hands than a smilie library will help. Checy your browser options (if it's ie, go to Tools|Internet options|Advanced then scroll down to the multimediasection, and check you've got 'show images' ticked (or just hit 'restore defaults' which will set you back to the factory-defaults)
If you are still not getting gifs in your web pages, and this affects all web pages, personally I'd go for a flatten and rebuild, but I like to do that every 3-6 months anyway ;-) If only some sites are affected, blame the sites? |

It's not that the images won't show up, but that when I try to save them to my computer many .gifs will only allow me to d/l as bitmaps. |

Did you try the oldfashioned solution - save the whole web page, then go to the folder with stuff, including the smiles?
Other than that I think http://www.tvthemetunes.net/graphics.asp is a zip download. |

If your computer won't save any files other than BMPs, clear your browser's "temporary internet files" and reload the pages, or temporarilly use a different browser to bypass the problem. |
