Since few days I was switching my forum to „require registration“ – but I must put it back OFF again. Few users have a problem with this option:

When the login, the message „login successful...“ appears, but then the input screen comes again! So the never could enter the forum.

It looks a little like the old referrer problem, but:

- that user do not have NIS installed
- I’ve installed the referrer MOD
- New registration works without problems (I’ve visit one of the user to check that)

What can be wrong ? I think it must be a setting problem on their devices or like this.

tell them to check the time and date on their computer. If it's off by more than 30 days, the cookie won't stick and they won't ever get logged in.

Thank you for the quick answer. But I do not think that they have a time/date divergence of about 30 days!

The failure occurs with switching on the option, but I can imagine that there is a connection with the cookie handling/setting.

Good idea! I only deleted the temporary internet files, when I was visiting the one user to fix that problem...
