Hello everyone,

Check out our City of Heroes Super Group website. The home page grabs data from several areas of the Snitz DB. The forum itself will go though a severe overhaul over the next several weeks.

Be nice with your comments...

Ooops... forgot the link...

That looks cool! No idea what it is about, but the colours you have used are spot on.

I like the way that the picture at the top changes depending on where you go, or is it just random?

I couldn't see any icons or text near to the login/password boxes to explain what they were for. Maybe a helmet or something for the username and a padlock graphic would be cool.

Doesn't NCsoft require some kind of disclaimer on fansites?
Also, if you use Snitz codes on a non-forum page, you have to place the link back to http://forum.snitz.com/ at the bottom of the page. Of course you can ignore this comment if you used your own codes.

The folder icons on the forums could use a change to fit into the theme of the site, if not the site's colors.
And lastly, you probably want to change the copyright information (in the admin options) to something to reflect your own site and not Snitz :)

I agree with SY about the icons by the login area. I mean we will all know why it's there because we use snitz but a newbie may find it difficult to login or even know where to do it.

Also I really like the layout! Very cool and easy to use. You've done a good job.

Here is a link to my Snitz powered Drag Racing site.

Looks good, I have to agree with the other ones about the icons, get some that fit your site'S colors.

One other thing: some data displayed on your site's main page (Comm Link, COH RSS) is hard to read, you might want to choose a different font color.

Apart from that, good job.

Thanks for your comments guys.

I will try to make the login area intuative. One note.... if you have the "google" search bar installed there is a good chance that the input box background colors will be yellow... and with white text that just looks nasty... the bg color of the input boxes is supposed to be black.

Roland-

NCSoft promotes fan sites. They actually have a section of the City Of Heroes offical site dedicated to fansites. I will double check however... maybe by getting permission they will put a link to our site on their site?

All code of the front page is from my hand. I am accessing the snitz db however.... the random spotlight is hitting the FORUM_MEMBERS table... there is a recent posts spot too... my code again but it too access the snitz db. Should I still put the stitz statement at the bottom?

lol... I will change that copyright info... thanks!

The header pics are randomly chosen from pool of about 25 pics.

Thanks for your input guys!

Thanks Delta.

My comment regarding an NCsoft disclaimer is merely based on their copyright of the name City of Heroes and probably many related names and images. If they let everyone use those things without noting they are the copyright owners, the names and images will go into the public domain and they'll lose the copyright(s).
