We currently have a sql database with aan established users' table. This table manages basic authentication and authorisation. We wish to use the forum in a way that it will share the same data from our existing table. Can I either - create a query to match the field names for the forum or - create some proxy code to set up any required authentication session variables that the forum may require.
Also can we delete the 'Create New User' areas so that the user must use our existing sign up proceedures instead of the forum ones. We can add additional fields to our existing user table that will accommodate any required fields in the forum. If we can do this, what are the required fields. Also can I be pointed in the direction of any of the above mentioned forum tables.
Thanks folks
