I've been thinking of moving my MySQL DB to MS SQL DB mostly for the fun of it. Also My hosting option I get MS SQL DB free, so I figure why waste it.

I guess my question is will I notice any performance increase. (I figure minor if anything at all) Also has anyone done this before and have any tips?

Look at the suggestions made regarding Access to SQL Server migration and follow them. I think they should be what you need, though I've never tried that move. Whether you'll get performance improvements it's hard to say, cause it really depends on the servers (and server loads) you'll be (are) using.
