For reason that my ASP sql is in a beginner's stage, I am trying to work out the function of the params at the end of some execute statements.
F.I.: my_Conn.Execute (strSql),,adCmdText + adExecuteNoRecords
I have spoken to a colleague who is well known with sql, but he aslo did not know.
Also where can I find a description of that execute statement with the explanation of its parameters?

Rgrds,

Pieter

The adCmdText is an option (like adCmdTable, adCmdTableDirect or adCmdStoredProc) which tells ADO which type of command is being executed and therefore can speed up the process since ADO does not need to determine what type of command is being executed.

By using the adExecuteNoRecords parameter you tell ADO that no recordset is needed (since there will be no recordset returned).
This can also speed up the execution of the command.

I suggest you do a Google search for more info.
