I've been scowering the forums, but had not luck yet. I just dont really understand how to integrate my forum properly. I have the site integration mod installed and have managed to get the framework of my site around the forum, but I'm going mad, stuff just keeps moving all over the place. Could someone please help me out? All i really want to do is get the forum the right width so its readable in smaller browsers, and move the forum menu to the left and all into one line.

Wow, that *is* a mess. I didn't integrate my site using that plugin, so I can't really help. However, you can do a lot of integrating by modifying the inc_header.asp to your liking. This would require you to go with a horizontal nav bar above your forum instead of a vertical one to the left. Good luck.

I believe you could still do a left nav bar if you modify the tables a bit in inc_header.asp (and maybe in another file too)

Can anyone else help? i know which files i have to modify, but i cant get it to achieve the desired effect. I want to move that snitz forums bit down to the bottom and aligned left. Also the nav bar doesnt really have to be integrated with the site, i just want it aligned left where the logo usually is on the default forum.

One thing I noticed is that you don't have the copyright notices...that's a big no-no...

And if you're talking about moving the Snitz nav bar, I modded my script slightly to give me the desired effect.

This is the inc_header.asp file for left-aligned menus. In your inc_footer.asp file, you need to add at the end (before the %>):

The Copyright notice is there, it's just off to the right because of the misalignment within the page. What is happening is the tables are being put side by side.

I worked on this using the outputted HTML and got it looking decent.

Here are a few observattions:

There are 2 <head> tags
There are 3 <body> tags & 2 </body> tags
There are some missing closing tags.

Here's another idea....what about using I-Frames? They're supported in most major browsers now, and that would allow for you to keep the formatting of the pages halfway decent. :)

Ok, ASP.Confused: i tried your code and the result is now up, but i still don't understand how you rearranged all the tables. The only problem is thats not quite what i was looking for, i would like the main forum under forum navigation! Also it seems to have messed up my footer??????

well whether you edited the tags or not they're still wrong so go through what richard said checking you've got the correct tags then try it or try getting a new copy of the files and try again.

Thanks, i see what ur saying about the extra tags now, however the reason they are there is because i needed to link a stylesheet into my page. How can i do this without increasing the number of tags?? Obviously i can't link it to inc_header.asp, so any ideas...

I tried using Iframes, but i had major problems getting them to resize automatically as the content changed (tried using some javascript but it was a bit to messy, and didn't work all the time).
So it looks like my only option is to mess around with the tables in the inc_header.asp file.

Can anyone explain to me if there is an easy way to see the table layout in this file, i just don't understand all this response.write rubbish????

Ok, no need for anymore help! After hours of playing around i finally realised that if i look at the source of the generated code and compare that to my asp files i can work out where everything is. So now its all integrated perfectly.
