I downloaded the latest version, and I want to test it on my PC. I read through the readme, I followed the instructions, set the path of the database, but when I run setup.asp in my browser it displays it as a text (like in notepad).
How can I fix this problem? And what should I do to make my PC able to act as a server, I mean that it'd run the forum?
you would need to have it set up as a server - otherwise your browser would simply open the file in the default editor (im not 100% sure but i dont think theres any other way around that).
it'd probably be easier to upload the files to a server and test it like that - www.1asphost.com is a free one you could use.
