I just installed a Trial Version of SQL 2000 and its running and I can connect to it with EM on the same machine using the server name. When I try to connect to it via the IP address it will not connect (and this is on the same server). How do I know which IP Address SQL got assigned to listen on?

You might have given it an instance name while installing it - that was my problem once. I could only connect via 'servername\instancename'
