They are not accepting any new free email registrations Brad. You will have to go with the paid version if you want a 3GB email storage. |

It's all a numbers game. Do you think people will actually use 1GB of storage on there email? No and thats why people can offer it. Its the same with the host's that say you get unlimited disk space. They know 99% of the people can not use a ton of space and still meet the host's terms of service. |

I agree with Jezmeister , its all a game, very few people if any would ever require such storage. A couple MB does the trick just fine for me.

Personally I amass email at the rate of about 750MB to a GIG per year just for personal stuff, looking at my work folder thats sitting currently at 2GB with about 5GB archived .. but then I do send a lot of emails. |

lol a hell of a lot gremlin! but you could get around that sort of thing by deleting useless ones or saving them to disc. it's not so bad when its free but paying for 3gb space for your email is stupid but then i guess only fools would sign up for it. |

I agree with gremlin. I also archive all of my mail. You never know when you need to refer back to a message. It sucks with cd's because it takes too long to get things off of them. |

Mine is about the same as Gremlins, I have over 10 yeaars worth of email, but I wouldn't even contemplate having 3Gb of it on someone elses server, offering a 3Gb mailbox is just a gimmick and a way to entice you into getting even more spam that you don't want. |

same here :), I thought I was the only mail hoarder.
I'm not saying it is all useful, but only last week I had to dig out an email from 1999 to get some info I had sent to someone, If I ever lost my mail archives I would be totally gutted. I also have a copy of all my Outlook pst files from places I have worked in the past. |

I think it'll be like hotmail, but now they will have GB's of space for all that spam you get sent as soon as you sign up for the service...
I'd much rather have 1GB of online storage space then 1GB of online email storage space.
