This is my new forum (tho I havent actually launched it yet, apprt from to the moderators, so all the forums and posts are just tests). But the design is fully complete
http://www.harchester.net/new-forum/default.asp id: test pw: test
(for sections such as search, members, active topics) can be located via the drop down menu at the top of the page under forums.
Started off with a clean download, and installed Active Users, Private Messages, Avatars. And I used a few of OneWayMules code changes (new profile layout, extra last post info and limit quick paging). I have used mostly new XP looking icons (and left a couple of the smaller old icons). Designed new folder icons for simplicity. Added all new Yahoo style smilies.
A lot of design changes script wise, simplified the navigation links along the top (ie 'All Forums > ...'
Also deisgned my own little mod (of sorts) and made new/unread private messages appear at the top of the home page.
your comments, good or bad appreciated!
thanks!!! |

The intergration and the colors are good. Good work, just need to find somehow get the site faster. I noticed it was a bit slow to load some things up. But apart from that, it is quite well done. |

I like it a lot as well. The fade in the header looks nice and all of the colors go together well. |

Don't name important images, such as the image at the top of the pages, anything like banner. Don't put them in a directory called "ad", "ads", or "banner" either. All of those get blocked by the most basic form of banner blockers.
I think you've made a typo in the ranking config; some members have "managers" as their rank. Unless they have split personalities, I'd drop the s at the end ;)
Other than that, it looks clean, which is a very welcome change. Good job :) |

I know, that's why I gave that tip ;) It's not too bad if actual ad banners don't get shown, but not having your logo shown is less than nice. |
