I am experiencing difficulties with logging on and off my Snitz forum. It is the latest version. What is happening I think is that I have one domain 'mapped' to another, so their are in effect two domain names for the same forum. If I log on in or out with one domain name, when I visit exactly the same page using the other 'mapped' domain name my details are gone - even though its getting the information from the same forum and the same database. Logging off causes a similar problem where I will still appear to be logged on, even when the forum hastold me I'm logged off. DOes this present a security risk? And also is there anything I can do about it so both domains function as one?
The fact that you are logged in or not is stored in a cookie not the database, and as cookies are domain specific, logging in at one address will not log you in for the other.
