Does anyone have any gmail invites that they can give me? I'd like to try out gmail and I heard that you can sign up for an account with an invite. If anyone has one that they could give me that would be great. |

Isn't Gmail expected to launch formally some time this summer? Why not wait until then? |

The best reason (if you plan to use gmail) is to get in quick and get the email name you'd like. I suspect this will be quite popular. |

Now how long is that going to last?
Alright, let's see now. What other possible names could a person want?

all sorts of sexually related names, I suppose...
Anyone with more devious ideas? |

Yes I've been bidding on quite a few, but to tell you the truth they are all going for $50 to $75. I don't think I want to spend that much, especially when I can see myself needing something for my website in which I can spend the money on. |

So Dave, now that you are one of the privileged few, how many invites are you allowed. If it's only one, then feel free to invite me. |

I got invited by a friend of mine, so I don't have any invites. Sorry guys. :(
But I think you can get an account if you are active on blogger.com . |

You really have to admire the way Google has been marketing this.
Who would have ever thought that they could make people rabid for a free email service with so many free services out there.
