i know ill probably be frowned upon for this post, but ive searched through this forum, and i keep getting stuck trying to find a solution.

Ive just installed a snitz forum using the access 2000 database, since that time ive discovered my host supports MSSQL servers, and for reasons of speed, id like to convert to this.

Reading through old posts, and the readme, i see i have to create, or get my host to create a blank database file, and then run the setup thingy to get the tables imported...

my question is, how do i create a database...

sorry for sounding stupid, but the ugly side of websites arent my forte!

any run throughs or anything like that would be great.

Have you talked to your host?
They should either provide you with the database info (address, name and login info) or let you know how you can create one.

My MODs:
Birthdays - Custom Policy - F.A.Q. Administration - Forum Rules - Guestbook
Links Manager - MyOwnGoogle - Profile Views - Search Log - WebSearch

Useful stuff:
Forum and MOD Installation - MOD Installation Guide - Snitz v3.4.05 Readme - Free ASP Hosts - Support Snitz

i got a new host today, and as office hours are over for the day i cant get in touch, but i was kind of hoping id be able to do it myself :)

i went to the database control bit of the web conrol panel, bit it only gives the option to create an access dB.

one more question, i was just looking at inc_header.asp as im going to need to edit it to fit with my layout, when did everything get so complicated? i seem to remember editing files was never such a long process!

Since this isn't SQL Server related, start a new topic with your questions in this forum. You might also want to take a look at the Site Integration MOD.
