Hi ya'll,
I would really, really like to know how to inherit permissions for files under Windows 2003 Server.
For example, whenever i put a snitz forum powered by an MDB file i have to set permissions to it manualy (read/write/modify), is there any way that i will not have to do this and the file will get the wanted permissions on it's own when uploading it?

Thanks,

Mike.

Should you not be able to just add the read/write/modify permission to the directory that you store your database in, and allow the IUSR_<servername> account have those perssions.

I take it you are running more than one Snitz forum on the one server. I normally place all my DB's in the one directory and go from there.

Cheers,

David Greening

Make sure that it is set so all files in that folder will inherit permissions set on that folder, it is in the advanced options.
