Alfred, believe me when I say, IT'S A COMPLETE JOKE! I've been there, done that. Personally I don't use hosts that cost any less than $10 - $15 USD a month, it just doesn't pay. Thier a complete joke for what they say you get. It's terrible slow, and if you use any cpu cycles at all or bandwidth it's like they just totally delete your site. I know, it's happened to me. I used 2 gigs in a day once (had some videos up) with my "unlimited" bandwidth account I got when I signed up for some $60 a year and they up and deleted my website because "I was abusing thier policy and monopolizing the bandwidth". Not even as much as a notice. What a joke. Not to mention, the service was terrible, everything was way slow.

Don't focus on all the glitter and eye candy that some of these guys try throw at you, look for what you need, and make sure the people doing it are dedicated and care about you. If you think about it, there's possibly NO chance a host can survive making less than $4 a month off of you, and still give a good level of service, along with keeping to what they state they offer. It just can't happen, there is way too much cost involved.

Having a website is a hobby for most, a cheap one at that. How many people do you know that can do thier hobby with $10 a month?

What you say here definitely is valid. If your's had been the only reasoning from the beginning, I could not have found an answer to it except perhaps "I'll take the risk". But it may have given me more pause than all the other arguments I heard, because your scenario sounds believable - no, more than believable - even likely.
I always worry when something looks "too good to be true", but some of the voices I heard didn't even see it as "too good", until I showed them how good it looked.
If it is all lies or deception, that's another story, and can only be answered by trying it. Weighing the odds of being true may well dissuade me from doing so, but the other arguments did not. I simply believed that I had found the best current value, which it is - at least on paper.
Since there seems to be some phobia about comparing hosts in here would you mind if I mailed you directly?
