Written to provide protection under UK and possible US law from litigation resulting from posts made within a forum.
The file is placed within the forum folder and a link needs to be placed in a prominent position such as the footer of the forum

This provides additional protection to the Snitz policy.asp

http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=184

Suitable for 3.4... Snitz
Ease of install = Very Easy

It's a nice read, but it won't stand up in an Australian court

Thanks for the demo link OWM, I forgot that

As regards it's legality in countries outside of the UK, I can not advise upon but I do know that it is adequate within UK Law as it has been approved by my solicitor as suitable for such

The intention is basically to absolve the owner of the forum and anyone connected with it from posible litigation due to information being displayed on the forum that has not been bought to the attention of the owner; the onus in the first instance being upon the third party to bring such information to light.
An email would be time-dated and would then provide the owner with sufficient evidence that he/she had acted within a reasonable time period in removing or editting the offending information.

Hi Webbo,

Thank you for the MOD. Needed something like this for sure.

I asked PeeWee, Inc. a question about the MOD PeeWee posted today over at SnitzBitz, and I'm going to ask you the same question. Is this for forum version 3.3.04 or 3.4.03? At SnitzBitz it is listed as 3.3.04 however in your disclaimer.asp page you use <!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_sha256.asp"--> and <!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_header.asp"--> which are Snitz 3.4.xx specific.

Thank you once again for the MOD, Webbo.

Cheers,

Etymon

Never noticed that when I added it into SnitzBitz Etymon - it is suitable for 3.4.... versions of Snitz

SnitzBitz has been editted to show correct version
