When trying to do a DBS file admin_mod_dbsetup.asp i keep getting this error:
Active Server Pages, ASP 0113 (0x80004005)
The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.
/snitz/admin_mod_dbsetup.asp

I'm not sure what to do about this, as i have never got the error when useing Snitz on this box.

It's a little odder then i first thought.

This part of the file it does at the same speed it used too

[DROP]
ADVERT
[END]
[DROP]
ADVERT_HIT
[END]
[CREATE]
ADVERT
ADVERT_ID
COMPANY#varchar(50)#NULL#
TITLE#varchar(255)#NULL#
URL#varchar(255)#NULL#
IMAGEPATH#varchar(50)#NULL#
FREQ#int#NULL#
[END]
[CREATE]
ADVERT_HIT
ADVERT_HIT_ID
ADVERT_ID#int#NULL#
MEMBER_ID#int#NULL#
HITDATE#varchar(14)#NULL#
[END]

But then it gets stuck, and times out on this part

[INSERT]
CONFIG_NEW
(C_VARIABLE,C_VALUE)#('strARUploadPath','Adverts')
(C_VARIABLE,C_VALUE)#('strARAdvertHeight','468')
(C_VARIABLE,C_VALUE)#('strARAdvertWidth','60')
[END]

Had the same problems with different dbs statements.

I copied all the statements to notepad. Removed all spaces before and after every line.
Removed empty lines. Copied all to the alternate setup and pressed submit.

Yes, very strange. I thought it was something on my computer or just a bad day.

I have created a new banner item as I really wanted something that could go across the site. I have now finished it that allows for updates, adding new adverts and deleteing old ones. I have also added a login function for it.

I have it working at my site currently, but will create a demo version for the admin side as well if you like, but this can not be done until later this week as I have heaps on.

OK, I thought about it and decided to create a demo page quickly. It is at Banner Demo

There is instructions at the page and allows users to log in and play with and add some banners.

I had the same problems with the moderate.asp-page, added this to the page and everything work fine, maybe that's possible for the db-setup page also:

This in the top of the page:
X = Server.ScriptTimeout
Server.ScriptTimeout = 900

This line in the end:
Server.ScriptTimeOut = X

900 is 900 seconds.

Classicmotorcycles: Looks nice, although I got an error when trying to submit a banner:

Provider error '80020005'

Type mismatch.

/snitz_demo/classic_banner_admin_add_entry.asp, line 164

(sorry, we're way offtopic here now...)

This is caused due to the field is used for a date in the End Date area and if plain letters are used it spits it. The format for the end date is 30/12/2004 which represents 30th December 2004.
