We have just migrated from an 800mhz Windows 2000 server running MS SQL 2000 to a 1.7ghz Windows 2003 Server with MS SQL 2000. The migration was pretty much flawless with one exception. Now, posting a message or replying to a post is painfully slow and often causes ASP timeouts. The server is far from maxed out since the slower machine was handling it very quickly and there is almost no CPU or Memory load on the new server. All other queries that post to the database are super fast, the only problem issue is with posting to Snitz. The big problem for us is that this affects 4 different web sites and the users are all hammering us to fix it but I can't find anything wrong.
Any ideas? |
