lol - All programmers have been there and done that. Yeah, the "you did not provide a filesize" was in white on a white background and was rather difficult to detect until I tried to copy/paste the error message. Of course, the file size was included and I tried several methods to resolve it.
Here's another one I've found:
A Runtime Error has occurred. Do you wish to Debug? Line: 4 Error: 'window.opener' is null or not an object
Missing apostrophes around status in end of line 333 in filelibrary.asp - never mind this one, I see that it's not a text object. |

Ok, give it a new try. I changed all errors to the Err_Msg = "" style, that works much better now. Also removed
filename = author & "_" & filename line as I think that might get people into trouble as well. In the description field more characters are allowed now, that might be easier too.
Tribalistic: In the Filesize field you can actually put whatever you want, it is nothing more than a hint for people that they have an idea how big the file is before they start downloading it. The script checks the file itself for allowed size.
I hope everything is working now, sorry about the confusion. I mixed up some old with newer versions and even mixed up different languages in the same file. I should better start in developping only in english before translating it. I will keep that in mind.
Carefree: The missing abostroph... As I am not such a big db guru... I thought if it's a numeric value and the db field is int as well I would not use the ''? Anyways, it works like this.
Please replace all the asp files as I changed something in all of them! |

BTW: Does anyone have an idea how to show a upload bar while uploading? I raed sth like that somewhere but don't find it anymore. Uploading large files is sometimes pretty boring and users are not sure if everything goes well.

This is cool!!! I'm gonna try to implement that - at least on my server. Let's see if I'm gonna release a compatible version of the donaloa / attachment mod at least for those who have the possibility to install the nec component.
Would be nice though to find a way to script a progress bar for the windows filesystem.object.

Proeder,
I have encountered a small issue. When installing the MOD in the admin panel I get this:
Adding new records.. INSERT INTO NEW_FORUM_UPSIZE (UPLOAD_VAR,UPLOAD_VALUE) VALUES ('STRTIMEOUT','3600') INSERT INTO NEW_FORUM_UPSIZE (UPLOAD_VAR,UPLOAD_VALUE) VALUES ('STRUPLOADFILESIZE','100000') INSERT INTO NEW_FORUM_UPSIZE (UPLOAD_VAR,UPLOAD_VALUE) VALUES ('STRUPLOADFILESIZE','100000') -2147217833 | [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.
Then, when I go to the admin page I get this: ADODB.Field error '800a0bcd'
Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.
/new_forum/admin_attach.asp, line 65
Looks like these two are related. Any suggestions for a fix? |
