Well, here it is, the face lift part. I am jumping the gun, as I plan to add a few more features, move the basic navigation around, and integrate with the main site as soon as I redo the main site

Comments on the face lift would be nice.

Also, don't know if it is noticable, but I added a different icon for the reply with quote option.

Edit: Tree pretty, me dumb; link http://toshiaitate.kuroiban.net/

Nice one! I like the borders and the chinese icons. Colour scheme is impressive too. Over-all, you've done a great job!

Thanks all.

Jumping the gun, as I didn't want to upload it; and then I decided to replace my hand coding with the implementation MOD; and got upset as it didn't work (forgot to replace the config.asp); and some other dumb problems that tore my time table. And I didn't redo the rest of the site, or move some of the features around...

Japanese kanji, not chinese.

Thanks again.

Ranko ; I am very much impressed with the simplicity and thouroughness of your modification. It's really a slick skin around Snitz, without making it bulky!
Great job you did there!
However, two remarks ;
1) in Forum.asp, the forum navigation is 'fontless'...?
2) You might also want to consider an alternative image as a replacement for this: to make it complete.

Faizan: for all I really know it could be Chinese; I used the graphics I found on various Japanese kanji sites, edited them beyond reckognition... but I do trust them that they are actually japanese kanji

marcelgoertz: if by fontless you mean that there are only icons for navigation (like the New Topic), yes, and it was intentional. When I add the new icons, and the text it all groups, and spreads across a line or two, and I wanted to cut down on that stuff as much as possible - in terms on page space; thus moving the topics up, and closer to the users. A lot of other boards use that method, and as the images endup in most users temp files, it dosen't really affect the time to load. I also know that my audience will come back, as we are all gaming geeks there .

The alternative images for that icon_top, icon_last_post and a few others (mostly back end) are pending; as I am pressed for time and am lacking inspiration. Like I said in the first post - I jumped the gun a bit, and posted before everything was finished. I also made the mistake of doing it in the one free afternoon I had in a while, so I am a bit burned out by it all.

I still want to edit the back end, change the few lingering icons, perhaps mess with the basic navigation (the upper right corner one), maybe add a header image/logo, find out how to remove the text links but not the alt text from subscriptions icons... and finnaly redesign the main page in a simmilar feel.

Again, thanks for all the input.

Pretty much all done, except the header part, as right now I am not sure I want to add another image up there.

Will see after a few days.

The good thing is my users like it.
