I'd buy one but then all my neighbors would run out and get one. Then it's no fun because all the novelty is worn off. It'll end up just sitting there in my hanger gathering dust and I'll end up selling it at a yard sale for about $5,000,000. It's just not worth it. |

I'd bid for it if it were painted in red.
But with that blue skin, noooo!!! It's the typical F18 everybody uses |

It's not THAT far from reality. You can buy surplus fighter jets, but they're usually a generation or more removed from the state of the art. F-86s, MiG-15, MiG-21, etc...
I think Bob Lutz, an old fast jet pilot and father of the Dodge Viper, has an old Warsaw Pact fighter that he flies on weekends. Forget what model.
Great PR for this guy, maybe it'll help him move a couple surplus MiGs or old WW2 warbird.
I can't imagine that the Feds would allow a current generation fighter out into the public tho...

Knew there was an article on this. Fast jet for $40,000 US not bad. Might layout for one myself as soon as I get my pilot's license

I'd prefer you not start such a conversation involving our President. |

I'm with Erick on this one. A topic about the President of the USA is not a good idea.
The states is a common place to buy guns and what-not, but if you got this Jet, could you but the ammo (not sure what it would use) for it? |
