I've managed to do this before.. I want to make a forum that only admins and moderators can get into and post in. No normal members reading anyhting inside. I've just completely forgot how I did it before.. does anyone know how to do that?

OK now I did a search on here and read someone else with the problems topic and i got all my answers there.. just had private forum set to off... but it seems I have an error on the file used to edit forum properties because it will not let mje select moderators in there or members allowed to go in.. it says error at the bottom.. do you know how i could sort this out? Its actually been annoying me for a while now.

ah, JavaScript error then. As you know, you MUST fix it in order to assign moderators and allowed members

You'll probably find that a .js file is missing somewhere.

OK, I've registered as laser, can you make me a moderator and assign me to a forum (even a test forum will do) and I can find what's missing.

Also, the black background on the rego pages means :

- I can't see which fields are mandatory
- I can't the errors when I try to submit less data than required (at rego time)

No need, just a side-comment. I can get past it, but others may not be so clever.
