i have forum but sometimes database oppening and canot close itself it shows forum.ldb everytime i am calling my host and i am sayying themn to kill all process
The .ldb file is created whenever the database is being updated to prevent data from being corrupted, this is pretty normal as OneWayMule pointed out, theres a possibility your webserver doesn't have the correct security permissions to delete the file after creating it which might cause a problem.
sometimes .ldb files dont delete and i need to call center to kill all processs they are saying that to me your forum code have problem it cant close database is that true? when database working its open .ldb but after that it will not close it i have this problem sometimes not everytimes that is problem if i have this problem everytime i can understand but only sometimes i have this problem why?
This probably doesn't help much, but its more likely to be a problem with the server than a problem with the code, if it was a problem with the code we'd be getting a lot more people report the problem here on the fourms.
I run a couple of databases on my web server with different odbc stuff plus the forums ... every now and then it will be the case that the ODBC stuffs up and then locks up the forum db as well which in turn makes it sllooooooow as ... I have to reboot to fix it ... so I would be asking the host what other things they have on the box and see if it is affecting your forum ...
