A few prospective members have been getting the following error when trying to register:

Microsoft JET Database Engine- Error '80040e57'

The field is too small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. Try inserting or pasting less data.

C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs\register.asp, line 7106

my_Conn.Execute (strSql),,adCmdText + adExecuteNoRecords

How can I increase the field length, or is there something else I've missed?

but just a quick look, the sql statement before line 185 appears to be all out of order. same with the one before lines 193 and 594. Looks like your field names for active users and avatar mods are in one order, but then the values are the opposite order.

Thanks for your reply's.
I've checked the file already but I'm not that clued up with asp so may easily not spot the problem. I'll go back through it again though.

Ok, I've double checked my mod additions to register.asp and they are exactly as laid out in the instructions for the mods. The only potential problem I can see is that the 2 mods "avatar" and "active users" modify lines very close in location to each other and that may have upset the order of things.

I don't have enough experience with asp to see where I might have gone wrong and I would like to keep the mods if I can. If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated!

You'd better post a link to a text version of your register.asp.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm at a loss. Removal of the mods seems to be the only other alternative...

Can you post the exact line number where you have the error, so that I know where to look?

The error message says line 7107 but obviously there is no such line number. More than that I don't know. Looks like I'll have to remove the mods
