I installed the PM mod about a month ago and its been working fine... until this weekend when I turned on the site integration mod for site header. The pm was disabled and everytime i try to turn it on it goes back to 'off'... what do i do?
When you say that is turned back to "off", do you mean that "Allow Private Messages" in admin_pmmaint.asp is always on off? Have you tried to run Admin Section ->Check Installation?
Check that the PM changes made to config.asp are still there.
yes that is what i mean. and the installation is fine. ive already checked that 2... would editing the pmmaint script so "on" would be the only option help? i hav no intention of turning it off anyway...
No, editing admin_pmmaint.asp to make it show on wouldn't make any difference.
Which value does strPMStatus have in Admin Section -> Forum Variables Information? If you can check your database, which value does strPMStatus have in the config_new table?
ok, now im having the same problems with the poll mod, only i cant remember how i fixed the pm mod... (im gonna hav to start writing things down lol), ive installed it all, uninstalled and reinstalled (db setup for it that is) and it still wont work
ive got active users, pmmod, site integration err think thats all i hav installed... o bdays and err im pretty sure thats it...
What i'd do is a) Double check you have added the required code to config.asp b) Check the data in the table FORUM_CONFIG_NEW and ensure there are no duplicate entries
