I need some help with the following:

I have an existing Crystal Report that I am modifying. I'm using CR8.5 Developer Edition.

I open up Record Selection Formula Editor. How do I add a new Report Field to the available list. The field I want is in my db already and is not a new field and is in the same table as the available report fields.

I can see it further down the tree under ODBC.

Is there something I need to do in Visual Basic?

I've googled all night trying to find this answer.

Your question is not very clear so I am going to do some assumptions here. When you have the Report Selection Formula Editor open, you will see all the fields you have access to for adding to a formula. All you have to do is double click the field you want from the Report Fields window and it will appear in the Forumla area.

Please rephrase and elaborate on your problem and I will definately be able to help you (Self Proclaimed Crystal Guru )

dayve, I think he's saying that it isn't under 'Report Fields' where you have the s8_mast fields.

Sorry for the poor explanation guys. I ended up creating new formula fields in the Field Explorer Tab that did the trick.

I think he wanted a Field Formula and not a Record Selection Formula.
