I am currently re-doing everything. As where I agree with the poster that said ServerHacker has too much going on, I like the home page thing. I'm going to play around with it a bit and I'll repost for you guys in a few days (weeks, hehe) when i'm done. Thanks for all the input so far, the suggestions are very helpful.

It's nothing real fancy, just a little page I put together about myself. I've seen some really nice pages where the "update" or "news" section looks like its part of the forum but without all the buttons and login stuff around it. Any clues on how to accomplish that? |

That looks nice. I like the colors, not something you see every day. One thing..You know how the logo has that striped effect on it, I'd probably take a look at the header cell background mod here or just manually apply a striped background like that to the header pieces on the forum where it is the bright aqua blue. It should tone things down just right.
As for the news stuff, etc.. Do you mean news like on a front page that is pulled from the forum or do you mean something else?

went from Aqua to deep violetred.. improvement? I don't think its as obnoxiously bright.. more of a softer bright blue.
I did a quickie job on the logo, i do need to fix.

Uhm, hide the "For Office Use Only" forum from people who aren't supposed to go in there. It's a bad idea to show a forum that people can't access. The bright blue is way bad in that color scheme, but from your posts I take it you're still working on fixing the colors so I won't have to comment on it any further ;)

Yeah good idea... I honestly don't know what i was thinking.
I am currently debating downloading the fully modded version of snitz from serverhacker forums. That would save me tons of time and give me more functionality than i'll ever need. |
