I almost never watch TV, I actually don't own one. I have cable internet access and the house I am in has cable TV.

Has anyone used a TV Tuner Card? Do you need cable TV access, or is it simply run off of the internet line? I have no idea how this works.

I have an ATI TV Wonder. You do need to have cable or some form of input for this to work. Basic analog cable would work the best. I usually use mine to input video from a VCR to record all my older home videos to DVD. It works pretty good.

If your cable provider encrypts the channels then you'll not be able to really watch anything without a "decoder"
