I have been trying for a couple of days now to get NT Authorization working on my forum for our intranet. When I select NT Authorization, there is no problem, and I can log in as any valid NT User, and register myself and start posting, log on and off etc.
However, when I try to enable either "Use NT Groups" or "Use NT Autologon", Snitz craps out and gives me the following error:
--------------- error '800401e4' Invalid syntax
/gregtest/inc_func_common.asp, line 822 ---------------
I have searched for this error on the forums, read all of the NT Authorization forum, and have tried any advice that has been given for similar (though not the same error message), to no avail. If anyone has any pointers, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks. |

according to my file, that line is
Set strNTUserInfo = GetObject("WinNT://"+strNTUser)
the only thing I see "wrong" is maybe the + should be an & |

I've tried to change the code as you suggested Nikkol, but I still get the same error. I've started another instance of the forums in a different directory, and have tried to set things up so that I can enable the NT features, to no avail. Same outcome, even with that code change. Thanks for the idea though! |

One thing I thought of ... our servers are NT 4 ... do these features perhaps only work on Win2000? |

Thanks Nikkol! Well, I asked the Systems Admin about ADSI, and he assured me that, yes, we did have it running, as I had asked him before. After more frustration, I turned to checking it out for myself, and it seems he didn't really know what he was talking about. I installed ADSI on the webserver, and now I'm having no difficulties whatsoever. Thank you very much for your help. |
