It worked fine for me just now. |
--Jördan It's a wasted day if you don't spend at least part of it flying upside down. |

www.dsnreport.com and www.dnsstuff.com can be really helpful diagnosing dns issues. |

since the dns for these hasn't changed in over a year, I would doubt it was stale records, but it is definately something odd, for example, I can connect to my network providors site at http://www.newnet.co.uk, but can't connect to http://stats.newnet.co.uk which are both obviously from the same domain and have common dns, so it just doesn't make sense that one would work and the other not.
I am getting very frustrated for two days now I haven't been able to get to my own site. what fun! |

You've probably written something yourself similar, but I've found this little proggy great for querying nameservers around the place when trying to figure out a dns issue

yes, I have something similar. the stupid thing is that my machine points directly at my own dns servers, so it is something in the routing somewhere, but a traceroute doesn't show any problems which is a bit strange.
although I can't get to my site, I can get to www.atozed.com which is on the same server, and the domain is parked on the same dns servers as magicmushroom.org.uk, which is a bit baffling to say the least. The other strange thing is the page that I get comes up realy fast, almost too quick to have actually done anything, so it is not like a dns timeout. |
