I just installed Windows XP Pro, I rebuilt the PC and was installing some old software and ran in to a problem.
I had a copy of Roxio CD creator 4. It told me it was incompatible with XP, but ti looks like it tried to install some items anyhow. It's not in the programs I can remove. Here is a help tip Windows give me: Issue Description:
A CD-recording driver is installed that might cause stability problems, including problems shutting down and problems using a CD/DVD drive. This driver will be disabled. This driver might have been installed by Easy CD Creator, Windows Media Player or RealJukebox. You might not be able to record CDs until you obtain compatible drivers.
How can I disable this item? I thought I remembered something like Dr. Watson in windows 2000 or 98 where I could see what was trying to start.
Thanks! That's why I love this site. Not only do you get great support for a terrific product, look at all the added benefits. I never would have thought of this.
