Yes if your host support the ../ command. My host doesnt for security reasons or something. Hope that works. I believe that will work. Otherwise just stick it in the forum dir. It wont matter anyway because no one will be able to type in the URL and get to the chat room (unless they know the URL to get past the login) and if you got rid of the login fields like was suggested in the first post I gave you (in the second link).
well Ryan...it works fine.... but.......it seems I've not solved my problem...infact, I realized that when I'm on the forum main page, if I click on browser command "view html", the full code of inc.header.asp appears, including the full path to the chat. Those bad guys still entered the chat, and I think they've reached it in this way....Is it possible to avoid the reading of page code? In other words, is it possible to hide certain parts of asp code in inc.header.asp file? Maybe anyone has a solution??
Sorry to annoy, but I'm desperate...... Thank you very much
They can only see the URL to the chat if they are members. I tried it on my forum and (as I assumed) when I am logged out and the link to the chat room is invisible and I hit View --> Source I could not see the link. Make sure the link is only viewable by forum members. If they are members there isnt much I can think of that you can do.
