So has anyone noticed that when you insert formatting in Mozilla it scrolls up to the top of the textarea?

Guess I've got some more work to do.

Works great in Mozilla now. Thanks!

I notice that the positioning of smilies is not quite right in IE now if you use the quick reply panel but it works well with the normal reply form. Any ideas?

(I've added the smile chooser into the quick reply form on my forums but am obviously missing something).

I did, but now I don't... very weird. Right now I am using Firefox v1.0 Preview Release. Anything more on this? Would like to include this in v3.4.05 which I plan to release sometime soon.

Nathan, I went ahead and included this in the v3.4.05 that I released. I wasn't seeing that behavior the other day, but I am now. Very strange that it comes and goes...

I havn't found a solution to the scrolling issue in Firefox/Mozilla. I think its actually a limitation.

There are no functions or properties that give a developer acess to the scrolling or scroll point.

the functionality is there, that's all that really matters. Thank you for providing this.

Not tried but does the textarea support scrollTo like the body element does?

I implemented this mod just a few weeks ago and all worked fine for users of netscape and safari etc, however i understand from one of my moderators that a new service pack from Apple for Macs has upgraded their Safarai browser in some way such that this mod does not now work again (i.e the inserts are now placed at the end of the text again). I have performed some tests with this user but cannot find anything that works yet. According to this user the update is OSX 10.3.9 which has updates to Safari included. Any ideas much appreciated.
