I've got a little problem -

I set IPGate to log all visitors quite some time ago, and then more or less forgot about it. Now, when trying to open the logs via Admin Home, it is so large that it times out. I cannot clean the log.

I think this it'd be safe, but wanted to check with folks here before I attempt it ...

Can I delete IPGate's tables - via ASP Table Editor - and then rebuild them using the dbs file with Snitz' MOD Installation?

I am using the latest IPGate MOD - I believe that's version 0.8.7 - on MS-SQL Server, Snitz 3.4.3.

Might anyone know if this is safe to do?

You should be ok to do that, you'll probably want to close your forum first though else you will have visitors getting errors during the time between dropping the tables and recreating them.

Well that was easy to do, as I kinda expected. Just needed a push ... didn't want to blow up the World, or anything!!

Thanks, Gremlin.

I released a ver 2.1 ver of ipgate that goves you access to delete the logs on the first settings page. It also fixes quite a few things and speeds somethings up. I kept everything db friendly, but you may want to experiment with a test forum before making theupgrade live on sql.
