I gotta say, I am almost 40, love to dabble in web design, love to come to this forum and learn more about databases and site design, but I really haven't found a lot of use for the internet.
If I don't come to do some on-line banking or check a flight reservation or other "necessary" items, I don't think I could spend much time just "surfing", I wouldn't know where to go or what to do.
BUT...
I recently logged on to E-Bay. ****, I can't stop bidding on stuff now. I am trying to bid on stuff I don't even need. This is a blast! |

LOL !!! .. it can get VERY addictive VERY quickly. Just watch that you don't go over RRP as people sometimes do.
What else do 'I' use the net for ?
- Chatting to people all over the world - learning (constantly!) - TONS of forum sites
The list is endless... |

I love ebay. I do a lot of selling and buying there. It is where I can find extremely rare music items and collectibles. I am very happy that this type of service exists. |

Like laser the majority of my surfing is visiting 15 different forums (where my participation level varies). I also like eBay, but am always careful to set my highest bid and never go higher (takes a lot of willpower, but I've managed it so far ). |

Ebay is great. I have gotten several things lately which would have cost me a fortune when buying it in a normal shop |

My Dad asked me about a couple uncommon books from a Norwegian author some time ago. He was impressed when he got both books a couple weeks later courtesy of EBay. EBay removes the geographic barriers to garage sales :)

Ebay is great, but google is really the best, you can do almost anything in Google !!
How many of you know it will even do conversions for you ?? go too google, in the search box type in "20cm in inches" (without the quotes) and it will magically convert 20cm to its equivilent inches value ! |
