I've used Araneae for 6 months now, and like it... I tried Source Edit today. I sorta like it. IMO it's poorly designed or at least has weird Defaults.
When I open a file; then through Windows Explorer I try to open another file (in Araneae it opens a new Tab) and it does nothing (What the heck?).
I then checked off Allow Multiple Instances, but then I lose tabs and that splash screen comes up. (It's like 8sec, forget that)
I guess I only really like the Syntax highlighting in SourceEdit...Any ideas?

Next time I see the guy who's made SourceEdit online, I'll give him the link to this topic. Perhaps he can shed a little light on your problems |

Use UltraEdit ... the new FileCompare utility is AMAZING and you can customise it to any language. |

For me it's not worth it; I'll only ever use it for ASP, hell, I'll use notepad if I'm forced to. 35 bux! Yeah right, I'm running my network server on 160mb of ram, I think I'd rather buy more ram with that $35...
It'd be worth it if I used any other programming languages, but I'd never use anywhere near it's full potential with what I know now. |
