Hi all.

I've a problem regarding editing topic. When a member edit a topic (the entire topic, not a reply), it happens that the topic is moved to another forum.

The voice FORUM next to the cascade-menu which includes all forums, points to a forum different from the one where the topic is.

I'll make an example:

Member Joe posts a topic in Testing Forums.
After that, he decide to edit it, so he click the edit icon and he goes to the edit-topic page (in post.asp?Method=EditTopic).
It happens that the menu forum, under font-size-color, doesn't point to Testing Forums, but to another forum (i.e. Free messages), and Testing Forums doesn't appear in the menu.

So Joe can't repost the message in the correct forum, and I've to do it (I'm admin).

How can I solve this problem?

Sorry for my bad english, hope you understood the example.

Tnks

that member has to be a moderator, otherwise the forum select box shouldn't show up. Have you set "Restrict Moderators to moving their own topics" in the Admin Options > Feature Configuration set to Off or On? When it's Off, moderators should be able to move topics to forums to which they aren't assigned as moderator.

Right, it happens only with moderators.

By the way.. Restrict moderators is set to On. I've to set it to Off?

Sure..

There are many mods, I'll try to make a list:

Extended Color Code
News
Admin etc.
Active Users
Private Message
Private Message Sound
Polls
Email All Users
Avatar
IPGate
News event calendar
Who has posted
Password reset

I got every mod from this forum, so they shouldn't have bugs or errors.

Hope you can help me.

I believe it has to be set to off.

Have you tried starting with fresh unmodified versions of post.asp & post_info.asp and then add each MOD back one by one to see when the problem pops up.

Mh.. It's a difficult solution.

If FrutZle's suggestion doesn't work, I'll try.
