After waht has been one of the most hectic weeks in my companies history - (not JobintheSun - but my other companies) - I actually started clocking how much I was in front of the monitor.....
In the last 7 days I have unfortunately been in front of this monitor for over 100 hours.
So as I head into the weekend - and am still working on projects here at 5:31 am after a 30 hour stint - I was just wondering how ridiculous this is....
Time for some more staff me thinks !!
Anyway ,the question is :
How many hours do you think you spend on average actually in front of the monitor ?

Granted this week is the worst ever for me - but still I would be interested to find out how many hours I did actually spend in front of a monitor - say averaged out over a year..... hmmmm

Probably not far from HuwR's figures for me as well, basically the only time I'm not in front of the monitor(s) is when I'm sleeping, and then before I get some zzz I'm usually reading some news or a book on my PDA as well. |

Not that much currently. 4-5 hours a day, but since a greater project is waiting this winter it will get more. |

Same as Rasco: 4-5 hours a day, mainly because of work. |

I keep thinking I am going to get to a stage where I get back to a reasonable level - maybe 7 to 8 hours a day or so....
unfortunately - it's like a hamster wheel and the light at the end of the tunnel keeps being snaffled away....
Rasco - have you been away from the Snitz board for a while too ?
best regards

Yes, I had to do some tests for my study and work wasn`t quiet, either. But that`s over.
Congrats on your 3rd star. |

Mmmm, I have been thinking that for a good few years, but it actually increases rather than decreases

I see what you mean about the work increasing....
This morning I told my wife we would all go the zoo.... due to work issues we still haven't got there and it is 3:26 now and has just decided to bucket it down with rain.
IF (Tomorrow <> ""zoo"") then Response.write (""row"") else Response.write (""allok"") EndIf
Still need to work on my code
ciao for now,

First of all congratulations on the big 500 Carlos :)
I think I spend about 12 to 14 hours a day in front of a computer on week days, in the weekends it varies but probably doesn't go below 5 hours a day. My computer's on almost all the time when I'm home though, so I don't sit in front of it constantly. |

Congrats on your big 5-0-0
Now that school has started back up, and we cant take laptops or any form of a computer or electronical device to school, my computer time has decreased a lot. I get online when i get home around 3, and get off usually around 11 or 12. In the summer though, I'm usually on about 14-16 hours daily... get bloodshot eyes after a while |
