Using IE Booster which uses NetMechanic: Works on other snitz forums but not yours. How have you disabled this.

We were unable to process your home page (http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp) because access is denied for robots. Please change your robots.txt file to allow access to NetMechanic.

robots.txt file in the root web directory:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /forum/

thanks, but what is the root web directory and where can i find it? Is it the www folder on the server?

So i can do what you have done. There must be a good reason for doing what you did. Why did you do it and what reason did you do it. I was told i needed this info to do what you did. Please read above.

When trying to find the robots.txt i get a 404 error. Can you be more spefic as to where it is?

you have to create your own robots.txt file if you want to use it.

So that anyone who reads this knows, i put in in the www folder and it seems to work.

That would entirely depend on how your server/directories are configured. It should go in the web root as Richard suggested in his first post.
