I suspect I am missing something rather simple here but I am unable to post a new event to the calendar. I get the message "events are not allowed in this forum". I would appreciate any ideas on how to get past this problem.

there is a topic about this. You forgot to set your settings in cal_config.asp

line 19:



' FORUM_ID where you want to post events
' You can enter more than one value (separate with commas)
' e.g. arrCalForumID = Array(1, 2, 5, 10)


arrCalForumID = Array(1, 20, 56)

This is what mine looks like.

20 and 56 means that those forums can be used for events.
