Hey Guys, i'm hoping someone can help me out. For a while I have had problems burning Audio CD's with my Pioneer DVR-105 DVD-R/RW / CD-R/RW drive. I have used Windows Media Player, NER0 5.5 and RecordNowDX (which was bundled with the drive) and the Cd's will not play in my car's sterio. It will play in the home sterio and computer audio player. But not in the car's. Before I got the DVD burner i was using a Sony CD-R/RW drive and all the cd's i have made with it are working perfectly and i even burnt a cd tonight in that drive on another computer and it worked perfectly. So i conclude that it must be the DVD burner. I tried burning at the min speed which is 4x and it still wud'nt work. When you put the CD in the car stereo it is really loud spinning the cd around and the it just automatically ejects the cd.
What method did you use to record the CD? Did you use Track-At-Once or Disc-At-Once? If you used Track-At-Once did you finalize the CD? What type of CD did you burn it on and what brand? Audio cd or data cd?
I did it Disc at once. always have. But see the problem is that i used the same cd's on the old drive aand they worked after burning on that. I'm using TDK Datastream CD-R 80min Multi-Speed 32x cd's
I always use data-CD-Rs for burning CDs, no matter if they're audio CDs or not. The only times CD-Rs have given me problems in my car stereo was when I use the cheapest kind of brandless CD-Rs, while they did work in computers, stereos and DVD-players.
I've recently made a couple copies of audio-CDs with my DVD-RW drive. I'll ask my brother if he'll let me try them in my car, that way I can see if it's a problem with that Pioneer DVR105 drive or not (I have one of those too).
