Yes, I understand what you mean. "cached on the local machine" and "cached on the server" are two different things. In the former case, the old page resides on the local HD, and is usually replaced with a simple refresh. In the latter case, the server keeps a copy of the old page for a certain period (500 page views is one figure I've heard from hosts).
Seems I recall Brinkster does something like this, but I can't be sure...
It should make you feel better that I'm seeing the changes as you've described just fine now, but wasn't a few hours ago.
Give it a few hours to see if your users are still saying the same thing. I don't think you need to change anything right now (but I can't say for sure, of course).  |
