Yes I've searched for a bookmark mod for snitz 3.4 but cannot find it anywhere, does anybody have it? Does anybody know where I can get it? If so please post directions here.

Much appreciated

This probably should have gone in MOD Add-on Forum W/O code. But we all make mistakes!

Thank you OneWayMule, that is where I downloaded it from earlier. I followed the instructions which are pretty straight forward and it wouldn't work. When I click on the 'Bookmark Topic' button in a topic, I get

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'getmemberID'

/dotn/bookmark.asp, line 105

I then searched Snitz for help and camu up with a topic from the SHN Forum. This topic, found here, has confused me as to what is going wrong. So I came to the Snitz forums in the hope that somebody could help me.

Thanking in advance.

Find the following line in bookmark.asp (line 13):
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_func_common.asp" -->

and add the following line right after it:
<!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_func_secure.asp" -->

Ok, I made the change, it allows me to bookmark a topic but when I click on Bookmarks at the top of the page, i get 'HTTP 404 - File not found'.

Sample topic, I tried bookmarking this topic, it says it is now bookmarked, yet when i click on bookmarks, i get no page

Do you use file from the zip without any modifications (except the line added as I told you)?
If no, post a link to a txt versoin of your bookmark.asp

Yes I am using the file that came with the zip file, only modification was the one you told me, line 14 - <!--#INCLUDE FILE="inc_func_secure.asp" -->

I tried uploading bookmark.txt during my previous post but nothing would appear at the URL, but if you go to the URL and view source, it all appears.

So click here and then view source.

Thanks

The problem is that your Bookmarks link points to
http://www.droghedaonthe.net/forum/bookmark.asp
instead of
http://www.droghedatowncentre.com/dotn/bookmark.asp
which works.
You might want to check the Forum URL you've entered in your config, because this link is using it!

One other thing:

On bookmark.asp, the reference to register.asp should be changed to policy.asp.

As it is, if someone who is not a registered member tries to bookmark a topic, they are asked to register. That's good, but clicking on the link redirects to default.asp.

Other than that, great MOD! Happy to have it!
