I have gotten several emails from users now saying that they cannot get past the ACCEPT button on the new user registration page.
The state that they just click ACCEPT and come back to the same page.
Is this a problem on the client machine, or on my server? The server is a new install (about 3 weeks ago). So far we have only had about 10 people sign up... And I got about 20 emails saying they had a problem. Makes me wonder how many others had problems and just didn't bother to email me.
it is a client problem. They have a firewall that is preventing the use of the HTTP_REFERER variable. You need to tell them to disable the firewall just until they've registered.
This is a known behaviour and is due to firewall or anti virus software installed on the client machines. Some users may not inform you of the problem and may not come back to register again.
