You could make it so that registered members have a button called "Invite a Friend" this would then bring up a form where you could enter their email address and name. The mod can then do the rest.
It basically already exists. The send topic to friend link allows you to enter a text message which is then emailed to the friend. All you would need do is change the querystring being sent in the link and then change the code in pop_send_to_friend.asp to enter a different default message in it's place. You could even make that non-editable, just standard text. It would be your choice....
when i click on send topic to freind it does allow me to edit the wording. i dont want to send topics to people as they cant view them if they are not a member! i want a box on the front page so people will see it more often.
