My users have been getting a error lately trying to use the search function. It works if you are searching a sertain forum but if you are searching All Forums it gives a error:

I haven't changed anything on the forum for a long time so I don't know what this could be.

it means you need to refine your search criteria because the search is taking too long, we also have the same problem here.

someone has released a search.asp which is re-written specifically for sQL which may help, other than that there is not much you can do.

It would probably help if I archived some of the old stuff wouldn't it? There are 52730 posts.... I will try the new search.asp though. Thanks.

The changed search.asp will definitely avoid that timeout error. It was done specifically with that in mind.
