I would like to edit the email that gets sent to users when they register. I would like to add some company disclaimers onto it. Can someone tell me how to do this.

Open register.asp, around line 586 find these lines:

strMessage = "Hello " & Request.Form("name") & vbNewline & vbNewline
strMessage = strMessage & "You received this message from ..." & vbNewline & vbNewline

You can add your line just below that line, like:

strMessage = "Hello " & Request.Form("name") & vbNewline & vbNewline
strMessage = strMessage & "You received this message from ..." & vbNewline & vbNewline
strMessage = strMessage & "This is our added message ..." & vbNewline & vbNewline

you could try inserting a normal HTML image tag. Remember to use two sets of quotes for atribute values (like <img src=""http://yourURL/yourimage.gif"">)

If you then want to test it, you can register yourself to your forums (don't make any posts with that member though). If you make any changes and want to test again, just delete the test member and re-register with the same email address
